The Australian Government 5% Deposit Scheme (Formally the Home Guarantee Scheme) is designed to help more Australians achieve homeownership sooner. Home buyers usually need a deposit of 20% of the Property Value to get a home however under the Australian Government 5% Deposit Scheme buyers only need up to a 5% deposit (2% Single Parent Stream). This helps home buyers to buy a home sooner, with a lower upfront costs.
The Help to Buy scheme is an initiative from the Australian Government designed to assist eligible buyers by contributing up to 40% of the purchase price for new homes and up to 30% for established homes, when purchased through a participating lender. This contribution helps reduce the deposit required, making it easier for home buyers to enter the property market.
The First Home Super Saver (FHSS) Scheme helps first-home buyers grow their deposit by making voluntary super contributions taxed at just 15%, with eligible amounts receiving a 30% tax offset when released. You can contribute up to $15,000 per year and $50,000 in total, helping you save faster and more efficiently.
Boost to Buy is a new shared equity scheme designed to help Queensland first-home buyers overcome the deposit hurdle. Eligible buyers can enter the market with as little as a 2% deposit, making homeownership far more achievable.
